sickies

A couple weeks ago there was a virus going through Henry's daycare. I was so happy when he never got it, but this morning I got a call that he threw up. Poopies. Luckily Chris was at home, and he went to get Henry while I finished up with a client. Then I cancelled the next client and went home. The little guy was in pretty good spirits, playing around in our basement room. We've been cleaning it out so we can make it into another place to play. Also, so we won't look like hoarders. Ahem. Henry seems to like a change of scenery, and it doesn't look like playing in a grassy yard will be an option any time soon. Especially with the extra foot of snow we're getting tonight. So he likes playing in the basement now. I've gone way off topic. The point is, Henry was in a good mood and didn't really seem sick.

Since Henry didn't seem too sick, I was kind of enjoying the idea of an afternoon off work. Henry and I had extra time to play, he would have a nap and I could clean, I was wearing a very comfortable and stylish outfit of wool socks and long underwear... This was a good day after all.

Henry Boy didn't eat much lunch, and I stuck with plain pasta since I was worried about his tummy. He was fine for a while after lunch, and then I picked him up and noticed he felt very warm. Sure enough, fever of 101.3, poor little dude. It was almost nap time, so I gave him some Tylenol and put him down for a rest. He woke up after an hour, crying. Luckily no throw up. I hate stomach bugs. Anyway, I am now letting him nap while nursing because I know he needs more sleep. We only do this when he's sick. So I'm typing as he snores away in my lap right now :). Chris is making me coffee and I have blueberry muffins coming out of the oven, so it's not so bad. Hopefully Henry will feel better after his nap.

Sweet little poomba.
