On Saturday morning we had a few inches of snow. It was perfect for Celia because it was enough to play in, but not enough for her to be scared to walk in. She had a great time and even went down our small hill on a sled.
It was so cute how she squatted down just like Daddy to watch the ball.
I assumed the bowling alley wouldn't have shoes in Celia's size, but sure enough there was a little pair of toddler size 6s!
After bowling, we went next door to a neighborhood restaurant to get dinner to take home. We had to wait a while, so we sat and had an appetizer. Chris had buffalo wings, and Pita and I shared some hummus, cucumbers, and pita bread. It was very friendly and a good place for kids. All the staff wanted to come talk to Celia, and it was the kind of place where everyone seemed to know each other.
Saturday night, Chris and I watched a movie. Then I had a rough night again with Celia. She was awake, singing and talking from about 1:30-3:00 am.
This morning we had a fresh blanket of snow on the ground, so we took Celia sledding for the first time. There's a great sledding hill down the road from us. It was really fun. Celia liked playing in the snow, we pulled her around in the sled, and she even went down the big hill with us a few times. She loved when other people came so she could watch the bigger kids sled.
Great weekend! Now time to clean the house this afternoon.

I had to laugh when I read your first line! I feel the same way - getting to go grocery shopping alone (and I shop at S&S, too) when you have a toddler really does feel like a vacation! So funny. :)
ReplyDeleteThat first picture of Celia is just too cute! I think it's so sweet they had bowling shoes for her. Sounds like an overall great weekend.
ReplyDeleteExcept for the non sleep night, the weekend sounds perfect!
ReplyDeleteLook at those chubby cheeks of hers...and those pipsqueak bowling shoes!
ReplyDeleteThat really is the perfect amount of snow. Glad she had so much fun!
