Tiny Pita's hair has grown in so slowly that she had never had a haircut until today. I cut her hair myself with little fanfare, because she has told me a few times that she didn't want a haircut. If she had known what I was doing she wouldn't have let me.
I just trimmed the back where it was getting scraggly.
It looks cute, but also makes her look more grown up.
Then we cleaned a little. Celia wanted to use the dust buster and I thought she could just pretend with it. She had no intention of pretending. She tried using it and then said "I want noise. Turn it on!" So Pita did some extra vacuuming for me.
Nana and Grandpa came as we were getting ready to play outside. It was warm enough today, and most of the snow has melted so Celia wasn't scared. She even played with the snow and walked over it.
I went for a 4 mile run today. Since my running decreased after the marathon, my pants have slowly but surely been getting tighter. I've actually lost weight because I lost muscle while gaining some pudge around the middle. Now that the holidays are over it's really time to get back in a consistent routine with some serious exercise. No more measly walks around the neighborhood or 3 mile runs. I really have to start exercising harder.
Celia didn't have much of a nap today. She was a little wild and overtired at times this afternoon, and was ready to melt down at the drop of a hat. There was no question that we'd have an early bed time tonight! So, Pita is in bed and tomorrow we have work and daycare. I'm about to write out a couple new recipes to try this week, and need to try getting to bed early.

That's so funny that she wanted noise with the vacuum. She knows that it works with noise!
ReplyDeleteGood job on the 4 mile run! That's serious!
