1. Since I'm such a cool person, you can now follow me on Twitter and Pinterest :D. I finally decided to really give Twitter a go, but I need some friends there! Pinterest? Don't even get me started. It's a time sucking monster. There's a Twitter link to the right, and my Pinterest name is Sarah@Picture Window.
2. I've accepted that our living room is not going to look nice for several years. Things started off so well there, but the furniture has become a playground for Celia and scratching posts for the cats. Luckily this was the set we got used and really, really cheap so it's not completely the end of the world. I will look forward to replacing it with something that's actually useable and nice to look at and sit on, once the cats are gone and the kids are older.

4. I have to go to the dentist today to go over the x-rays I had taken last week. Having to go back again makes me suspicious. Why would I need a special appointment to go over x-rays unless something was seriously wrong with my teeth?
5. Slowly, slowly, I'm still making a little progress on the post-partum bod. The scale is stuck about ten pounds higher than normal and I have a serious jelly belly, but to the average onlooker I'm doing pretty well :). If I ever have time to start running again, I'm sure I'll be back to normal pretty quickly. I remember that after Celia was born, I stayed at a higher weight for a while and then dropped the rest pretty quickly. So, at 9 weeks here I am:

| Whoa. Blurry picture. I'm bad at self portraits. |
7. I currently have Henry down for a nap in the Pack n Play. I really want to get him sleeping on a flat surface, and I'm thinking about moving the Pack n Play to the bedroom for nighttime sleep. The thing is, he sleeps for 6 or 7 hours in a row in the swing, and I'm scared I'll lose sleep if I change things!
8. I need to be brave and change things anyway. The sooner he can sleep in the Pack n Play or crib, the better for his sleep habits. It's silly of me to be scared of a little baby, right? I remember when Celia was a colicky newborn and I was miserably sleep-deprived, I once told Chris "I live in fear of her." Ha! But I really did...
9. Henry is still looking a lot like Celia did when she was a baby. The only difference is that he's so much bigger.

10. I'm going to try to finish up meal planning for February today. Although I still have two weeks left to plan... I've had my planner sitting on the counter for days and just haven't had any time. It's so worth it, though, because life is much easier when you already have dinner planned and sometimes even prepped or in the freezer for each day. I highly recommend planning if you don't already!

Oh my goodness - they do look so much alike!! You look great! Thought of you today when I was chopping veggies to make a whole grain pita veggie pizza haha!
ReplyDeleteIt has been warm here too, but I'm not complaining!
Time to run? HA!
Messy living room - you ain't seen nothing yet Sister! Just wait until Henry gets mobile... :)))
Darling, you look FABULOUS! And I can't believe how similar the baby pics are of the two kids! I don't remember seeing pics of Celia as an infant, just as a gorgeous toddler! Such cute babies :)
ReplyDeleteI got to thinking - how great to have one of each. You have a beautiful little girl and a handsome little boy :) You are so lucky :)
xoxo!!!
It's only been 9 weeks and you look wonderful, DO NOT FRET! Breastfeeding and chasing those two babies will melt that weight off.
ReplyDeleteAnd I would just get all the sleep you can now, up until about 4 months a newborn "sleeps like a baby" and he won't start getting into more adult sleep patterns and habits until that 4 month mark. ;) Good luck, keep him in the swing if it's working!
