weekend in review

We've had an eventful weekend around here. Saturday morning, Celia and I went grocery shopping. I put everything away when we got home, made lunch, and then Chris took Celia out for the afternoon. It was just Henry and me until dinner time. Henry played and we read books, and then he took a nap. After nap, he spent almost two hours painting and then playing in water at the sink!

This is one of his fake looking picture smiles.

Then Chris and Celia got home and we had dinner, played, and did bedtime stuff. Lately we have a habit of playing hide and seek after dinner. It's fun and keeps the kids entertained.

Around 4:15 Sunday morning, Celia came in our room and woke me up because she had thrown up. Poor little thing. I got her cleaned up and we went downstairs, and I set her up to sleep on the couch with a big bowl in case she got sick again. She was still feeling sick, but didn't throw up again. Luckily she went back to sleep for about an hour and a half. We got up and she wanted to do some writing while I made my coffee. I was so tired, it was terrible. Once my coffee was ready, Celia had decided to finish writing thank you notes from her birthday. I felt like having something other than oatmeal for breakfast, so I made some quick pancakes while she was working. The boys got up, and we all had pancakes. Celia seemed to feel okay and wanted some, so she ate a little and still seemed okay. We were supposed to have a get together with friends for brunch, but since Celia had been sick I stayed home with her and Chris took Henry. Pita was very disappointed that she couldn't go, so I kept her busy. We played fairies and I made her a fort.

Celia was still feeling okay and was a little obsessed with the idea of brunch, so I took her to the vegan cafe in town. I like the idea of having a local place like this, but I'm just not crazy about the food. Celia had a good time, though.

Henry got home with Daddy around 3:00. Mommy and Mama's Boy reunited! (He wanted me to put the bow on his head.)

Luckily Celia seems to be feeling fine, and hopefully no one else will get sick!

  1. Glad to hear everyone is feeling okay. I am really, REALLY hoping we are done being sick around here because it's been tough.
