Random pictures, here. It seems that I no longer have to vaccuum alone.
On Saturday we finally left to visit my parents in New Hampshire. We stopped at Panera for some breakfast and coffee on the way, and the kids watched Cinderella in the car. It was a nice quiet car ride. We had a great weekend. The kids had a lot of fun playing with Nana and Grandpa, and they both slept really well. Chris and I got out by ourselves a couple of times, too. Meanwhile, it was snowing another four inches back at our house...
On Friday we were supposed to go up to New Hampshire, but I wanted another day for us all to recover from being sick. We had Celia's 5 year check up Friday morning, and also had Henry's ears checked. I just had a feeling I should get him checked out since he had a cold, and sure enough, he had another ear infection. Hopefully this will be the last one of the season, but we aren't having very good luck with colds, etc this year. Celia was a good girl, as always, for her check up. She weighs 31.5 lbs, 3rd percentile for weight. She is 39.5 inches tall, 4th percentile for height. Her BMI is at the 24th percentile. She's tiny as always, but very healthy. She passed her vision screening, and then the nurse started the hearing screening and was having trouble determining whether Celia could hear the beeps. I told her I was concerned about Celia's hearing, and after talking to the pediatrician we are taking her for a full hearing test and to see an ENT. I've been concerned in the past, but this time it seemed pretty clear to both the doctor and me that Celia has some kind of hearing loss. So we'll get it checked out, and hopefully it's just a conductive loss that tubes will remediate. The doctor has never seen much fluid in her ears, so that makes me nervous it could be something else.
It was Valentine's Day, so they brought their Valentine bears to the doctor. They were so cute together, but I could not get a good picture. They're always making funny faces.
We drove home on Monday afternoon, stopping for an easy dinner when we were almost home. That way I didn't have to cook or clean anything, and we had time to get unpacked and ready for bedtime when we got home. Today, big surprise, it's snowing another 4-6 inches. Ugh. I will be so excited when spring comes and we can get outside every day. I don't know what the stats are, but we've hardly had any days over 30 degrees this winter and we've had a lot of days in single digits. It's pretty, and it's fun to get a good snow storm once in a while, but three storms in a week is a bit much. I just want it all to melt. We are ready for spring!

Oh, no! That is no fun, I understand first hand. Hopefully the end of all this is near.
