We still sent Henry to Debi's today, since she is right down the road and the snow isn't coming down much yet. He was excited to see his little friends, and I didn't want him to go even longer away from the daycare routine. Celia and I returned library books and went to the post office first thing (nothing like waiting so long to renew your professional license that you have to overnight the renewal form- oops), and after that we were busy at home all day.
Celia did a lot of pretend play today. She dressed as a chef and spent a lot of time cooking. That morphed into cooking a meal for stuffed animals, which turned into having an animal daycare. Later on she pretended to be a vet. I was a wounded cat with hurt paws. She was the cutest little vet I've ever seen. Her mannerisms and the things she says during play are so funny. (Below she is stirring cotton balls in our Bilibo, pretending to make cotton candy. The Bilibo is a great "toy". It has been used for so many things.)
We also did some real cooking. We made gluten free (vegan) biscuits to go with tomato soup for lunch, and then we made blondies. I have found this tomato soup that the whole family likes. It's healthier than Campbell's, which used to be the only one Celia liked.
Even Henry likes it. Celia was feeding her soup to him the other day.

OMG those leggings. CUTE!!!
ReplyDeleteYour post made me realize I have never lived anywhere, in my lifetime, that experiences real winter. I've never made any "we might lose power" plans. Might be a good idea that I practice, just in case we have something like an earthquake or other disaster that would cause us to lose power...
Happy New Year!
Celia's hair is getting so long! She is just too cute and boy leggings make me think of the tight 2 piece pajamas that kids wear which are always SO adorable.
