tuesday play

Celia had no school today, so I'm home with both kids all day. I decided to take them to an indoor play place in the morning. It ends up being such a long day if we stay home all day and the weather isn't nice enough to play outside. The kids end up fighting over things and everyone gets cranky, and it's just a really long day. The play place was a lot of fun! Both kids really liked it and it was a great way to spend the morning.

I mean, honestly, how freaking cute is this?! Henry likes sitting in little chairs just like the big kids.

These terrible iPhone pictures remind me that I will soon be getting much better pictures with my phone! My phone is a 3S, pretty old as cell phones go. I just upgraded to an iPhone 5 and am excited to have a much better camera. Anyway, it was a great morning. I'm excited for Henry to get even a little older so he and Celia can play even better together. At this point Celia is very good about slowing down and letting him play with her, but Henry always wants to do everything she does even when he isn't big enough.

We headed home and had lunch, and the kids played independently for a long time after that. Celia spent almost 3 hours at the kitchen table, coloring and making various "projects" with her paper, markers, scissors, stickers and glue. She was so busy! Henry played for a full hour after lunch, mostly independently. He was busy watching Roger Roomba clean the family room, and playing with balls. The dude just loves playing ball. He will get several out at a time, and throw, kick, and roll them around, chasing them to get them again. There are things that make us wonder if he is part dog, actually... Then Henry had a nap and I made something for Celia's school lunch tomorrow (the sweet potato kugel here- delicious) and did some cleaning.

Henry is just waking up from his nap. Time to find something to entertain ourselves with this afternoon!

  1. I understand! We don't have as much snow here, but we are on spring break right now and we've had to find ways to stay busy. That's exciting about the iPhone. My 3G takes terrible pictures and I can't wait to upgrade.

  2. Such cuties! Is Henry going to be a blonde!? You will love the iPhone 5. The camera is awesome! I've recently heard about some cool apps that make even better pics so I need to download them and try them.

  3. So adorable! My boys work on "projects" for hours too! It's messy, but I guess it is better than them being stuck in front of the tv or a video game. ;-)
