Moving on. I think it's high time for some fluffy Christmas posts, and some journaling about life in general around here.
This morning it was pouring rain. I got the kids all ready, gave them breakfast, and took them for a morning at Debi's house (daycare) because they were having a special Christmas pajama party for the kids. Debi loves doing holiday stuff with the kids. The house was decorated and was so neat, and the kids had all kinds of activities to do. In December there are always "elves" around who leave little notes and gifts for the kids. Today the elves brought a big box with all kinds of things for them. It's so cute. The kids love it.

| I thought I'd get a quick picture of them sitting in front of the tree. After several tries this was the best I had. |
While Celia and Henry were at Debi's, I got some things done at home. I made cinnamon buns for Christmas morning (and they made the house smell so good), did laundry and washed everyone's bedding, and went to Trader Joe's.
After lunch I picked up the wee ones and we went home. They played for a while. Henry really likes playing with cars and trucks on the Little People garage these days, and Celia is almost always doing some kind of art activity in the dining room. Around 2:00 I tried getting Henry to nap, but he wasn't having it. I could write an entire post right now about his sleep. (It's not good.) But I'm too tired to because I'm not getting any sleep. Ha! Anyway, Henry didn't nap so I brought him downstairs again and we played more. Then we went to the grocery store to get the things I didn't get at Trader Joe's. Usually we do shopping on the weekend, but I wanted to be ready to make some freezer meals Saturday morning. I was also hoping Henry would fall asleep on the way home but he didn't.

| Random picture- we went to see Santa Claus a couple weeks ago. I don't think I ever posted about that... |
Chris was home by the time we got back from the store. I made dinner, and right before it was ready Henry started throwing up everywhere. There has been a stomach bug going around at daycare. He threw up a lot, poor guy. So there was throw up all over the kitchen floor, all over Henry, and all over the carrier Chris had him in. We gave him a bath and cleaned up, and I finished getting dinner ready. I tried giving him some water and a few bites of banana and he threw that up too. At that point we had another big clean up to do, and I was covered in throw up. Fun. Poor Henry Boy was so good. He hardly complained at all. We gave him a binky and held him and kept things low key, and he seemed okay. I was nervous to nurse him before bed, but he did okay and so far he's sleeping fine. I put an extra layer of waterproof mattress cover and sheet on his crib in case we need a quick change in the night. I hate having sick kids. I know it's not a big deal in the grand scheme of things, but it stresses me out when they're sick. So after Celia and Henry were in bed, I went about airing out the house a little and sterilizing all the binkies, drinking cups, toothbrushes, etc. I hope the rest of us don't get sick. I was texting with Debi about it and she said we are all doomed. Funny, but possibly true...
Time to get to bed.

eek - hope all of y'all don't get it and that Henry is feeling better in the morning.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a very merry Christmas!
I'm with Elrod...
Awwwww, the stomach bug is the WORST! I hope the rest of you stay safe and that poor Henry gets better soon!
