autumn perfection

It's chilly out today, but sunny and beautiful. I've been wishing lately that I had more time to be outside because it's my favorite time of year. Henry and I did squeeze in a walk between his morning nap and going to get Celia from school.

We're lucky that Henry loves to ride in the stroller! He gets so excited as soon as he knows he's going outside or getting in the stroller.

After our walk, we had to rush to leave for Celia's preschool. Celia was waiting for us, and we went home and had lunch. I've been getting lunch ready ahead of time on the days I get Celia at 12:00, because by the time we get home everyone is really hungry and cranky if I don't have lunch ready right away. Sometimes I even bring a sandwich and she eats in the car. Makes life much easier. After lunch we played, I started vacuuming (this is one of Henry's favorite activities) and then Henry had a nap. Celia played for a while with her Little People while I cleaned up and finished vacuuming, and then she wanted to play "Christmas" with me. We took turns pretending to sleep while the other one of us was Santa and left a Christmas card. I think Christmas was in her mind because I gave her some Christmas address labels that came in the mail. Chris somehow got on a mailing list with his name misspelled, and we keep getting notepaper and stickers that say "Christohper".

Now Pita's watching a show while I have coffee, and it will be time to wake Henry up. We're going to Trader Joe's and I already have dinner made so hopefully there will be time to play outside later if it's not too cold.
