the kids' bedrooms

Kelly's Korner is linking up kids' bedrooms today. I think I missed out on last week's link-up. Life is busy. Anyway, this afternoon I found the time to take some quick pictures of the Henry and Celia's rooms when they woke up from their naps. Therefore you get pictures of Henry's room, complete with Henry, and pictures of Celia's room with her still in bed.

Looking into Henry's room:

I picked out fabric and my mom made the curtains and crib skirt. The AC unit makes the window look so attractive.

To save space, we removed the closet doors (in other words, I directed my husband to remove the closet doors) and put the bureau in there.

Totally annoyed this banana wasn't real.

And this is looking into Celia's room (with Celia still in her bed!):

Funny story about the letter cards on her wall. She was a little jealous when I fixed up Henry's room before he was born, because she didn't have anything on her walls yet. I got her the same letter cards that he has, but after a few months she started acting frightened when I put her to bed sometimes. I asked what was wrong one night, and she pointed to the animals on the wall with an accusing look. Ha! I had to take some of them down, and the problem was fixed after that.

There is still some blank wall space in here, but the pictures I do have up are neat. They came from a calendar I saved, because I liked the pictures so much. I cut out some of the pictures and put them in inexpensive frames.

I really like Pita's bed. It has a trundle too, which I'm sure will be useful in the future for sleepovers and guests. Quilt made by my mom.

That's it! Nothing too exciting, but they're nice little rooms.
