I haven't written a weekend post in a long time. We had a pretty nice weekend!
On Saturday morning we hosted a brunch get-together for some of my friends from work and all our families. It was great to see everyone and hear the latest gossip from work. At one point the girls were all just sitting and talking while all our husbands played with the kids. There's something that would be nice to have happen on a regular basis! Such an awesome group of people, and I so hope I'll get to return to my old job and work with them again. After that, Celia had some lunch (our schedule was a little mixed up because of the brunch so she actually had a cookie and we called it "lunch") and took a nap. Later in the afternoon, Chris's dad came for a visit since his mom is out of town for a while. He played with Celia for a while and then we went out for dinner. We were planning to go to a local place we've been to before, but even though we got there early there was a long wait for tables. We ended up at a dive-y bar in our town that also has a dining room, but the dining room was closed! We sat in an area with tables in the bar. It was fine, and another family with kids actually came in when we were leaving, but it was a bit strange eating dinner and nursing a baby at a bar. At one point a guy sitting at the bar started yelling "Holy shit! Holy shit!" (about something on tv maybe?) and we were all just looking at each other hoping Celia wouldn't notice. She doesn't forget anything and would definitely repeat that if she noticed it. She didn't seem to, but I wouldn't be surprised if a week from now she asks me about it or something. After that we went home and it was a little rushed, but I got Celia to bed a little early for daylight savings.
Sunday morning, again things seemed a little off because we'd changed the clocks but it wasn't too bad. I made sure we got up within a half hour of our usual wake-up time, and Henry was down for his morning nap on schedule. Henry slept in his crib for over an hour and a half, and I finally had to get him up because we were going to go out. Of course the one time I actually wanted him to wake up sooner, he had a great nap! I wished I didn't have to wake him, but he was fine. We went to a McDonald's Playplace for Celia to play. It's so funny that we go to McDonald's to play, because it's the last place I would ever want us to eat food from. But, their indoor playground is good for winter time! Celia found a little boy her age there, and they played together the whole time. They were both hesitant to climb up to the highest slide, but they did it together and then loved it. We could hear them having the cutest conversations as they climbed around. By the time we left it was getting late and Celia was hungry. We stopped and got Celia a grilled cheese at Panera next door, and she ate it on the way home. She was a little cranky but somehow I convinced her that getting take-out and eating in the car would be fun, and it was. We got home, read a couple books, and Pita took her nap. Chris went out to hit balls at the golf range, and I tried getting Henry to nap in the crib but it only lasted about 30 minutes. I held him and nursed him a little, and let him sleep on me for a little while longer. Then we woke up Celia, played, and went outside for a while. I wanted to start turning over the soil in the garden, but with Celia and Henry I didn't get much done. It was so nice to be outside for a long period of time on a sunny day. We walked all around the yard and Celia had fun in the sandbox. Everyone was outside since it was a nice day, so we saw a few neighbors and met the new neighbors across the street.
That's about all! Celia and Henry both seem to be right on schedule after the time change.

Well, yours did better than mine with the time change! Mine are CRABBY!
