We've just been in New Hampshire for a few days to take Celia to Storyland for the first time with my parents. The day we went was a long and busy day for Celia, but she did great. We had a 2-hour drive to and from Storyland. We let Pita watch videos on and off, and that kept her pretty relaxed and entertained. I wasn't sure what Celia would think of Storyland because she's never been to a place like that. She had a great time. From the moment we walked in she was so excited about everything she saw that she would just take off running to whatever was next. I wish I'd gotten better pictures, but we were on the move and I just brought my phone.

Pita really liked seeing characters and places from the nursery rhymes she knows. She saw Humpty Dumpty, the Old Woman in the Shoe, Peter Pumpkin Eater's house, Little Miss Muffet's spider, and several others. Her favorite things were the Three Little Bears' house (she went in about three times) and Cinderella's castle. Celia had never heard the Cinderella story but we knew she would see the castle at Storyland, so I told her an edited version of the story the day before we went. She really took to it and wants to hear the story over and over now. So, seeing the glass slipper, meeting Cinderella, and riding in the pumpkin coach were all pretty exciting for her.

We took Celia on a few rides, but they were mostly a bit much for someone her size. She liked the carousel and a balloon ride. Chris took her on one ride that they had to stop because she was really scared. The ride operator was laughing because he said it was the fastest he's ever had to stop the ride.
By early afternoon Pita was pretty worn out and we headed home. The only problems we had all day were that she had a couple of accidents. Being in a new place and out all day, I think it was just too much for her to also be using the potty while we were there. Despite the long and busy day she was such a good girl and had a great time. Next time we go we'll be bringing
two kids!
