These are for the baby's room. I think my favorites are the muted greens and blues. They would go with a lot, and would work for both a baby and an older child's room. A limey yellow would be fun too, and it's tempting to have a light babyish aqua color.
Every time I look at beige colors I'm overwhelmed. It's amazing how many different shades there are. I think I found a couple I like for the dining room.
After the paint I went on a mission to get potty training supplies. Yep, we're planning to potty train Celia soon. She shows a lot of signs that she's ready, and has for a while. We're using a method that's supposed to work very quickly. Hopefully it will...she can be quite strong-willed so I'm nervous. Oh, and I got a set of fake wedding rings for $2 so I can have something to wear in this hot weather when my rings don't fit. One of the fake diamonds already fell out of one of them- ha! Better than nothing. If I'm not wearing a ring I sometimes get dirty looks. People are so nosy and rude... I've actually been asked who Celia's mother is when I'm out with her. So apparently I appear to be Celia's pregnant teenage babysitter. Not that it would be anyone's business even if I was...
I got Celia and we went home for lunch, and I put her down for a nap. She spent over an hour playing and talking with her stuffed animals and Little People in her bed. It was so hot that I was dreading how she would be with no nap. I was planning to go through all the potty training stuff I got, but I kind of just sat around listening to her yap away and finally went up to get her. I found her like this:
She was not sleeping. Or maybe she would have tried to if I hadn't come in. She proudly re-enacted for me how she got out of bed, lay on her pillow, and covered herself with the blanket. So, with no nap and the house around 90 degrees I decided we should get out somewhere to take advantage of AC and keep Celia entertained. She always does better if we go out when she hasn't had a nap. We had a snack at Panera and went to the bookstore so she could play in the kids' area. We read some books and Celia was quite smitten by a couple of potty-related books so I got them for her. I didn't really want more books in the house, but if they will get her interested I'll try anything. Then we went and got her some big girl underwear and a seat to fit on the adult toilet. She also rode one of those automated rides you put a couple quarters in, for the first time. She saw it on the way into Babies R Us and asked me what it was, and I figured we could try it. I thought it might scare her but she loved it.

Oh my, I can't imagine being pregnant and not having central A/C! You poor thing! Good luck with the potty training! My Q has been doing very well, but he'd rather run around stark nekkid! ;) That last picture of Celia is TOO cute!
ReplyDeletegirl i bet you are HOT without A/C shew you are super momma for sure! LOL about the rings...I have some I bought at Khols and have been rockin' for a bit since I am so swollen, it is funny the looks ya get when you don't wear them....the hubs even bought me the fake Princess Di engagment ring bahahahah! OK so Celia is super cute and that is a big step that she is wanting to wear big girl panties... I did the fast method with Kelcee and girl it worked out sooo great....if you want me to tell ya about it I would be happy too! I love those colors you have for the baby's nursery the greens and blues are so awesome and I am like you how in the world are there so many tans....um I thought tan was tan hahahahhaha

Sums
and so the real potty fun begins! I am SO terrible at selecting paint colors. I do not envy you on that! We have had to repaint several times due to my "mistakes"
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the potty training!
ReplyDeleteI understand how you feel naked without any rings. That's so crazy people would actually ask you who Celia was. Well, maybe it's a little flattering....like being carded if you want to spin it that way :)
I never got so many compliments on my rings as I did when I was pregnant. I don't think the hubs appreciated it :p They were a $10 costume set I got on clearance at Macy's because my real ones stopped fitting almost immediately after I got my BFP.
Yeah for potty training and Celia being excited about the underwear. I get overwhelmed by all paint colors. I never choose the right one for some reason. I think the only color I love in our home is the paint in our bathroom. One day... Good luck with your selection.
