I haven't talked about running much lately, mainly because with Chris finishing school and now being pregnant, running has fallen to the wayside. I just didn't have time when Blub was away or doing homework in most of his spare time, and I really don't like the feeling of running while pregnant. I can't stand how my gait and center of balance change, and how easily I get winded. But, now that the weather is nice I can't help wishing I was out for a run on these cool, sunny mornings we're having. It was about a year ago when I started my training cycle for Hartford, and I'm sure that every Saturday morning now I'll be thinking about how a year ago, I would have been heading out for a long run. Plus, long runs make for great blogging! Anyway, I've been starting to think about when I might be able to train for a half after Number Two is born. We'll just have to wait and see how things go.
Celia woke up before six this morning, so we've had a long day already. We played at home for a while, and Pita relived her baby days by playing with the baby toys in her closet as I tried to pack things away. I did manage to pack two big bins. Then we went out for a few errands and stopped at the park. Celia played in the Gazebo, pretending it was her house, practiced jumping off the bottom step, and ran around in the grass.
We went home and made lunch, and Celia at a lot. She had some tomato, cheese sandwich, and four little bowls of tomato soup. When Pita went to sleep for her nap, I got to work on painting the kitchen table. Everything's almost done now and it looks great!
Celia's still sleeping. The cats are napping...
I started to prep dinner and am about to look through a new book that just came:
I'm not crafty or very imaginative when it comes to new activities, and saw good reviews of this book. It has activities divided up by age, using common household items. There are indoor, outdoor, and some seasonal activities and it has good ideas for things to do when Celia and I need something new.
Time to enjoy some quiet before Pita wakes up!
