playground fun

Today is a beautiful day and we've been spending it outside and doing fun things with Celia. I feel like we've been dragging her around on errands a lot lately, getting ready to move, and she was getting tired of it and just wants to play. So bright and early this morning we were all out in the yard. Celia played with sand for a while, and then Chris went out for coffee and Pita and I had a nice walk with her tricycle. We played some more when we got back, and then had a snack and went to a new playground. The elementary school in our new town has three little playground areas, and one of them is just the right size for Celia. It's big enough to keep her interested, but scaled a little small so she can climb almost everything and go down the slides by herself. We'll definitely go there a lot this summer.

We stopped at the country store to get lunch and went home. It was a nice morning because we've been so busy with packing and chores that we haven't had many days of just playing and having fun as a family. Chris is making a Home Depot trip during Pita's nap, and I'll do more packing now that she's asleep. Yesterday I made a lot of progress with packing and organizing things to move over in stages. Because there are things we need to get done as soon as we close, we'll have my car and my parents' van packed up with the things we have to move first. We're in pretty good shape! This week is going to fly by.
