Now that hints of spring are in the air (but mostly in my imagination), I've gotten the urge to get back in great shape after a winter hiatus. I've been exercising through the winter, but mostly stuck inside on the elliptical. It's hard to believe I was in marathon shape just four months ago! As soon as the days start to lengthen and we get more sun, I always want to exercise more. The hardest part is finding time on weekdays. Today I worked, but still found time to rush home for a 20-minute workout with Jillian before I picked up Celia. She wakes up around 3:00 and has a snack, so I can't really pick her up before 4:00 anyway. Twenty minutes is about all I have time for between work and getting Celia, but it's better than nothing. I didn't break a sweat, but my muscles did get a good workout with all the weights and squats.

| Oh Jillian. You annoy me, but you're the best 20-minute workout I've got... |
Does anyone else remember Enchanted Forest? It's such a neat game. I remember it from childhood and was excited to get it for my students, but I think it might be too difficult for most of them... At least Celia will like it one day.
I went to pick up Celia, and she got a glowing review from Debi of course. Pita may show signs of the terrible twos at home, but at least she's a perfect angel outside the house! We went home and played with Celia's dolls, played with her cozy coupe, and pretended to go grocery shopping. It was a nice relaxed afternoon.
And look at this crazy natural ice sculpture on our deck railing:
Isn't that wild? As the ice melted, this is what was left! Pita and I had dinner, played, and she went to bed. Now I have the TV to myself and a couple shows to catch up on.
Finally, I took these pictures the other day and never did anything with them, so I wanted to put them up.

Good for you and your workout! I have that DVD and need to pull it out. I'm glad your baby girl got a great report...that is always nice.
ReplyDeleteOh, that Jillian, she's somethin' else! I did 2 weeks of the shred and gave up. Motivated, I am not. :P I LOVE your yellow walls, they are so cheery. And sweet cutie pie pics!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog. I am now following you back. Very cute pics!
ReplyDeleteOh she makes me giggle, your Pita! That game is kinda ringing a bell with me! I must have played it.
ReplyDeleteLove the ice sculpture too!

Such a cutie! I love all the adorable pictures...
ReplyDeleteThat Jillian kicks my butt, too. I was doing an okay job with Level 1 and then moved to Level 2 and feel like I might die every time I do it, so the motivation seems to be lessening. But you've inspired me to hopefully get back to it today! :)
Thanks so much for joining us for Friendly Friday! Have a great weekend!
