After all my complaining about winter, we got a sneak peek of spring yesterday! Just the tiniest little peek, but it was there nonetheless. It was about 50 degrees and some of our snow finally started melting. We still have a long way to go before the snow is gone, but yesterday gave me hope. It was so nice out that Celia and I went outside when we got home. We went for a little walk, but Celia is scared of a neighbor's truck and once we got to their driveway she wanted me to carry her. We decided to go home and try a stroller ride! I haven't taken Pita out in the stroller in a long, long time. So long, in fact, that I found out Celia can climb right in by herself now, and I had to readjust the straps to fit.
All bundled up:
She was very serious and completely silent for the whole walk. I think being able to go outside after so long left her speechless!
We saw a pretty sky,
saw a few little patches of grass at the side of the road,
and a good chunk of snow has melted from the flowerbed next to the house!
It seems ridiculous that I'm excited about this, doesn't it? Baby steps. Somehow this gives me hope that I will see my lawn again one day.
I'm ready to take walks in the sun, go to the park, play outside with Celia in the evenings while Chris cooks dinner on the grill! Except today's only going to be in the 20s, so I think we have a while to go...

Awww, yea for signs of Spring that IS coming!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd there she is wearing that adorable lil kitty hat again. Love it!
Yay for Spring!! As much as I want to see some snow after all these years of living in FL, I know it would get old very quickly with little ones all cooped up.
ReplyDeleteDo you love your B.O.B.? I always regret not getting one but I know I wouldn't use it much at this point so that ship has sailed. I'm curious, though!
So funny that she was speechless! She looks adorable all bundled up.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, Spring is coming! Sometime.
Same speechless feeling here!! We are enjoying the same little bit here and I adore it! Hope for spring!!
