busy bee

That's right, I've been a busy bee today. After gorging on that monkey bread I made, I finished almost everything I needed to do at work this morning. Thursdays are the day when I usually have the afternoon to myself to get housework and other things done. I stopped at Trader Joe's on my way home, unpacked everything, and started on a house cleaning frenzy. This included cleaning bathrooms, scrubbing a tub (a workout in itself), taking out trash, decluttering the toy-infested living room, vacuuming, washing a load of cleaning rags, and assembling the ingredients for a colorful dinner.

It took about five minutes to get all these together. I hadn't planned for anything other than some kind of pasta for tonight, and between the fridge and freezer had almost all the ingredients for this recipe. Using a combo of fresh stuff and frozen pre-cut vegetables makes things easy. Now you have no excuse not to eat lots of vegetables! ;)

After all that, it was green smoothie time. Then, since it was nice and sunny out I went for a walk around the neighborhood and picked up the mail. That was kind of a mistake because it was much too cold to be enjoyable. My fingers were hurting by the time I got home.

Can you see this person's door? Neither can I. Too much snow!
By the time I got back from my walk, it was almost time to pick up Celia. I stopped at the store to get garlic for my dinner recipe (the new package I opened was all rotted- so annoying!) and went to get my little monkey. We have a project for the weekend- making valentines for a daycare Valentine's Day party!

  3. Girl, bring that energy to my house! Your supper looked great, and I just have to say, I clicked on your community supported agriculture label and read about the stoned farmers wife, and LOL'd big time. Crack.me.up.
