snow day two

I hope I'm not jinxing myself by writing about this, but Celia has been sleeping much better. I made her nap time shorter and her bedtime later. We started putting her in a long-sleeved shirt under her pajamas in case she was too cold, and I started offering her a bedtime snack in case she was hungry during the night. Some combination of these things seems to have helped so far, because she has called for me once a night for two of the last four nights, and didn't make a peep all night for the other two nights!

We did indeed get at least 20 inches of snow yesterday. I had no school again today, but Chris is at work and we did take Pita to daycare. With the holiday on Monday she would have missed an entire week there and I didn't want her to miss that much time. I don't really like having her gone all day when I'm home, but I've kept myself busy.

This morning I stopped at the grocery store, then went home to make a green smoothie. I remembered the frozen mango chunks in the freezer and added them. It was so good that way. And, it was a great nutrient boost because mango has a lot of vitamins A and C, and quite a bit of iron.

After the smoothie I hopped on the elliptical for a while and did some stretching. Then, a nice shower (I kind of missed the peeping toddler), housework, and lunch. After lunch I went out to get something for Pita's birthday party:

We're having a kitty theme, so I'll put kitty decorations on them. I also got coffee at Panera and browsed Barnes and Noble for a little while. I got back home, did some more housework, and now it's time to go get my Celia! I can't wait to see her. Geez, what will I do when she's school age and away every day?

  2. This post made me stop in my tracks and think; "Oh my gosh, we are about to have to think about things like how-to-get-this-baby-to-sleep-at-night" like making them warmer (or colder), and adjusting nap times. *sigh* Am I ready for this?!?! :D
