2. We've been defrauded. That's all I'll say for now, but maybe I will describe it in more detail at some point in the future. It's not much fun, but we did get a chuckle out of it on Saturday because it turned out that Chris and I had both thought of calling a local news station that does "investigations" into consumer complaints and basically gives a lot of sensationalist bad press to bad business people. I had even started writing the script in my head, and it was pretty funny to picture this dude who stole our money getting hounded by a news crew.
3. We added a kitchen towel rug to Celia's kitchen.
4. I always like the view from our bedroom window, both in winter and summer. It's the way the light hits the trees in the morning and late afternoon.
5. Do you love the smell of books? As I entered a bookstore the other day, I realized that I was waiting for that bookstore smell to hit my nostrils. I was looking forward to smelling a building full of books. Do you know what I do when I first lay my hands on a new book? I stick my nose inside and smell it. Please tell me I'm not the only one who does this... I think whoever coined the phrase "nose stuck in a book" probably did it too.
6. Let's play "Where's Blub?" Ready? See if you can find my Blub in the wild, below.
He went snow shoeing and I caught him on camera through the trees.
7. Blub didn't get home from work 'till late on Friday night, so I decided to live on the wild side and watch Supernanny. I don't know how people can live like the families on that show. And how can people have so little common sense?
8. Days of Our Lives makes me cry. On a cognitive level, I realize how cheesy, silly, and outrageous the story lines are. It doesn't matter. Those emotional scenes get me every time.
9. We took down one of our child safety gates and the area looks so much more spacious. It's a big difference. The first day I took it down Celia was curious and wanted to go down the stairs, but the novelty wore off. She hardly ever goes near them now. She does like to sit on the top step to wait for Daddy when he gets home from work.
10. There are two Outfits of the Week this week. She's been getting herself gussied up so often that it's hard to keep up!
First, the elegant lady:
And second, Wild, Wild West!
