halfway through vacation

Today is the halfway mark of vacation. It's going by fast. This morning Blub had to take his car in for service, so he was gone all morning. Pita and I stayed in our pajamas for much of the morning, playing and doing housework. I also discovered that the new sideboard is a perfect spot for burning a candle.

 Celia took another bath and I washed her hair with very little complaining!

She also "helped" me vacuum. She loves to follow me around the house and help me with everything.

And she's wearing the slippers Santa brought her. They're so cute.

I had to get that picture because it reminded me of one from last year around this time. She has been riding vacuums and going without pants for quite some time now.

Pita also spent a lot of time playing by herself this morning. Now that she has her new dollhouse along with the Little People house, we have them near each other and Celia has the people drive their car from one house to another, go for walks, and do all kinds of things together. Yesterday she rang the doorbell of one house and said "Mailman here!" She's always talking away, having the people and bears do different things and talk to each other.

Now Celia is having a nap and I have to finish some laundry and make a pie for tomorrow's Second Christmas. Chris's parents are coming later to watch Celia while we go out for dinner! We rarely, rarely go out anymore. Most of the time it's fine with me because we'll have plenty of time when our kids are older, and we love being with Celia most of the time. It's nice to get breaks here and there, but I don't like being away from her for too long. We've had the best time with her during this week of vacation. Anyway, it will be fun to get out tonight. We've had a restaurant gift card for over a year that we've never used, so it's about time. It's at the fancy schmancy mall, so we get to walk around too.
