I was back to work today and we're getting back into our normal routine. Celia is getting back into her new normal routine of being a monster. Not only will she not take a bath, she now refuses to eat dinner. Fun, fun times. I said to Chris tonight, smiling but only half joking, that maybe we should not have more children after all :D. She is definitely going through some kind of major developmental change right now. Hopefully it will blow over soon and she'll move on to other things. Like behaving angelically. I think Pita might be getting a cold and she also just had a very crazy few days, so maybe she's feeling a little off and things will improve when she's better.
We did give Celia her new dollhouse yesterday. She likes it a lot. I made one mistake by showing her that the clothes come off the little bears. I thought it was a good idea to take their clothes off and give them baths, in hopes that Celia would decide she wanted a bath. Now she just wants to take their clothes off all the time! But, she has also spent a lot of time playing with the house, talking away to the bears and even making them talk to each other.
The best routine she's done so far is to put the mommy bear on the toilet, then have the baby bear come in the bathroom (hmm, sounds familiar...) and say "What you doing, Mama? What you doing? Pee? Okay!" She comes up with some pretty cute things.
I went grocery shopping on the way home from work today. After a long weekend of being away from home and eating less produce than usual, I've been craving vegetables. That sounds weird. Let me back track. I always only half believed the people who said they had tons of energy, and felt so much better, and never craved meat or dairy again after they went vegan. The reason I only half believed it was that I didn't feel bad to begin with. My diet was already pretty healthy. But now that I've eliminated almost all animal products from my diet, I feel amazing! I have my tired days like anyone else, but I really do feel great and have more energy than before. And- that thing about how your tastes change, and how you no longer want the unhealthy stuff and start to have cravings for healthy things? I didn't completely believe that either, but it's totally true! It's so exciting! Hence my craving for fresh vegetables today.
An easy dinner was a must tonight, so I picked up something for Chris and Celia (scratch that. Just Chris. Celia refused to eat anything and ended up eating Cheerios and blueberry pie a half hour later) and got myself some freshly made zucchini eggplant soup. Then the best part: big, big salads for my lunches tomorrow and Friday! With homemade dressing. I cannot wait for lunch tomorrow. See? Weird. I cannot wait to eat raw vegetables.
Spinach, mixed greens, sprouts, carrot, pepper, avocado, garlic stuffed olives, pickles, and chickpeas, with a garlicky lemon tahini dressing. I am salivating.
And now, time to read a book for a while and try getting to bed early tonight!
Those chickpeas would get me super excited about the salad too!
ReplyDeleteShe's so cute playing with that little dollhouse and chattering away.
I love how Celia is lovin' her dollhouse and already interacting with the bears in such cute ways! So funny about the potty kiddos learn from a very young age to interupt mommy while potty-ing LOL....ha ha
