This first full (part time) week back at work is getting the better of me as far as blogging goes. There are things I'd like to write about, but I really haven't had the time. In fact, I don't have the mental energy to write a cohesive post so let's have a little mid-week list.
- Celia still has a little cold. She has been extremely cranky at times lately, and refuses to eat most of the time. Hopefully the cold explains it. Otherwise, are we hitting the terrible twos early?
- I had her ears checked at the doctor yesterday, and she was only 22 lbs 4 oz. I don't even want to know what percentile that is. She never wants to eat anything. Very frustrating.
- In order to keep Pita happy during that witching hour between dinner and bedtime, we've turned to some interesting methods of entertainment. Like rides in a basket.
- Oh and speaking of colds, somebody did a little cooking with a dirty tissue yesterday. Mmmm.
It's ready! And "hot", as Celia warned me. Time to plate.
- Anybody remember Grey Cat? You can read his full story here. We saw our neighbor and Grey Cat's owner tonight, and found out that Grey Cat got eaten by a wild animal last weekend. Awful. We've joked about how much we've love for some sort of calamity to befall him, due to his terrorist tendencies. However, we were only joking. Poor dude. We've heard there are Fisher Cats around, so maybe that's what got him.
- Celia now asks to use the potty. She knows when she has to go at least some of the time. She goes to the potty and says "Potty. Diaper off!" In the last 24 hours she has asked to use the potty three times and actually peed in it. She is so proud of herself when she sees the pee in the potty, and she loves helping me take it to the bathroom to flush it down. We still aren't doing anything structured to try training her- just seeing what happens. She also goes to sit on the potty to poop, but keeps her diaper on.
The other day she told me she was going to hide, pulled the potty behind a chair, and pooped there. I guess she wanted some privacy :)
I think that's all for now. Between work and Celia waking up at 5 am every morning since her cold started, I'm beat!
Hope Celia starts feeling better quick! She is so cute!! When Kelcee has a cold she won't eat much either....LOL that she was serving hot dirty tissue for dinner....hmmm she may have come up with a new recipe Tissue Soup :0)LOL
ReplyDeleteHow cute the basket rides!!
That is awesome she is taking it upon herself to use the potty and I laughed right out loud that she went #2 in her potty behind the chair....what a modest little girl
xoxo
