quick update

I'm feeling a bit lost without the ability to blog. I've wondered at points whether being without my laptop is a good thing, as it's forcing me to do other things with my time. However, I'm not on the computer all day long anyway. Sitting on the couch with my laptop is my way of winding down in the evening, and there are much worse things to do with my time than reading, writing, thinking, and learning about new things by blogging and exploring the good old internets. I also do quite a bit of work from home on the computer. So, I really miss it a lot. Chris has a laptop, but he's hardly ever home with it and when he is, he's using it for schoolwork. Speaking of which, Blub just told me he needs his computer back so I need to make this quick!

We've had a busy couple of days. Yesterday my parents visited and I got a lot done. Celia had her flu shot, I got all the laundry done and put away (putting it away is the worst part!), and we all went grocery shopping together since my parents don't have a Trader Joe's near them. Chris stayed out late doing homework, so I put Celia to bed and went to bed myself before he got home.

Today I had work and Celia went to daycare. When we left, she and her little boyfriend hugged (as usual), and when he saw that she was leaving he started to cry! He was really, really upset! Poor little guy. It was so cute. We went home for a while, and then we met Chris at the park for a picnic dinner. Celia got to run around and had a great time. However, I also learned that the Apple repair place had called Chris to say that liquid had been spilled in my laptop and that's why it was broken. And because of that, it isn't covered under our warranty. I haven't been this disappointed in a long time. Combine that with work being stressful and uncertainty about whether I should even attempt the marathon, and I'm not the happiest right now. I'll get over it. There are certainly much worse things that could happen. Just a lot of disappointment.
