stuff lately

The January thaw didn't last long, of course. We're back to winter wonderland. I'm already wishing for longer days and warmer weather, but isn't this beautiful? Our road is so pretty, any time of year.

Henry likes pretending to be a monster. It is adorable. He holds his little claws near his face and slowly marches toward us, and then barely grazes us with his hands before moving on. He's a gentle monster. Poor little guy has a cough with chest congestion right now. I'm hoping it will clear up on its own.

Celia and I were in Barnes and Noble the other day, and she kept pretending to drink my coffee and saying it smelled good. It was a soy latte, so mostly milk, and I finally told her she could try a sip. She definitely did not like it! Now she knows why I tell her kids don't like coffee.

Pita's birthday is this Wednesday! She wants a castle cake. She is very excited about turning 5.

I'm trying to entertain the kids for a few hours while Chris watches the Patriots game with his dad. So far so good, but I think a mutiny is brewing.

  2. Beautiful snow! How cute of Celia and the coffee. She looks so adorable. I don't know how to change my comment for you to be able to email me, but if you want to shoot me an email my address is natobusch at yahoo. I wrote it a little funny because I never know if there are spammers that can detect these things (ha ha, conspiracy paranoia). Anyway, I was just curious about who is turning 5 ;) if you are allowed to say. No worries though if you're busy.

  3. Thanks for answering my question! I know it might seem silly, but on one post when I first read it I thought maybe it was the family pet, then I thought maybe a nickname, but since it changed back and forth I thought you had a foster child that you weren't supposed to post pictures of (I had a friend that recently adopted and they are now finally allowed to share pictures and names of their beautiful children.) Anyway, that's funny I was way over thinking it!
