our weekend

We've had a good weekend! On Saturday it was cloudy/rainy so we didn't get to do much outside. We played for a while in the morning, and then I took Celia for a haircut.

Then Celia and I decided to go out and get her and Henry some new socks and pajamas. It has been warm and I realized I don't have warm weather pajamas for Henry. I texted Chris and it turned out he was about to take Henry to the same plaza, so we met and the kids played in the bookstore while I went to Carter's.

Celia had a birthday party to go to in the afternoon. Chris took her and Henry and I had the afternoon by ourselves. I forget how nice nap time is when it's just one baby sleeping and I have all that time to myself. I went on the elliptical, showered, and got some meal planning done. Then Henry and I played for a couple hours until Chris and Celia got home. They weren't home until almost dinner time.

Celia has been waiting for Mother's Day all week, because at school they spent the week making a gift, making cards, and decorating wrapping paper. As soon as she woke up this morning she wanted to give it to me. She had helped Henry make something too.

I had to go grocery shopping, and for some reason instead of going by myself (which would have been like a vacation) we decided that we would all go. I get so distracted and it's so much more work, and I spend too much money because Chris is putting extra things in the cart. Oh well. When we got home it was time to make lunch, the kids ate and played, and I got all my cooking/prep stuff done for Monday. The kids made a "house" behind the chair and it was really cute.

Now the sun is out and when I'm done nursing Henry we're all going outside. It is beautiful out right now. Still planning to take a bit of time all by myself sometime later and have Chris watch the kids. Maybe a run or walk, and a shower all by myself?
