le weekend

Friday night: At home "date night" with Blobbers. Ice cream (vegan for me, cow for him) and tv.

Saturday morning: Hair cut for me. Then Chris took kids to the playground and I went to a big consignment sale.

Saturday afternoon: Pita and I went grocery shopping.

We went home and all played outside until dinner time. I still had a mess of stuff to put away from shopping.

Saturday night: Chris left at dinner time to go to a surprise party for a friend. I gave the kids dinner and baths, and put them to bed. Henry came down with a cold over night. Which also meant that he woke up a few times and we got a terrible night's sleep. The kid gets a cold every few weeks, it seems. Ridiculous. This time I mean it when I say this better be the last illness of the season!

Sunday morning: Lots to get done before Monday. Very stressed, and Henry was obviously not feeling great because of his cold. But we went out so Celia and I could do a kids' fun run. Pita ran a quarter mile in 3:45. Halfway around the track she said she was tired and wanted to stop. I don't think it was nearly as fun as she thought it would be. Then she was upset that she didn't get a finisher's medal from the run. Apparently they ran out, which was kind of crappy. Don't tell kids they're getting a medal and then run out of them, mkay? Henry and I got dropped off at home and Chris took Pita out for lunch.

Sunday afternoon: While Henry napped, I got a lot done in the kitchen and did some work work. Celia and I made our dinner for tomorrow night so it will be ready to bake. This dinner was all her idea, from watching Noodle and Doodle (kids' cooking show). Then Chris took Henry to play outside and I did work while Celia did crafts. I kept working while Celia went to play outside too.

Sunday night: We had taco night for dinner and strawberry shortcake for dessert. Gave Henry Benadryl. Hopefully he will sleep better tonight. Finally done with my work stuff, ready for the week.

  1. Sorry to hear Henry isn't feeling well. Let's hope it is the last one of the season, right? That does bite that they ran out of medals. Poor girl.
I swear, you are the 3rd blog to mention tacos today and now I need one BAD!

  2. Busy weekend! Sounds like you did some fun stuff despite Henry's cold.

I went to reply to your comment via email but you are a no-reply commenter so I couldn't. Anyways the nay blue blouse w/ polka dots is from The Limited - I just got it a week or 2 ago so it should still be there. I love it and got it for 40% off.
