1) We bought paint for the dining room yesterday. I'm excited about the colors. First we have wallpaper paste to remove, though.
2) I have jury duty later this week.
3) Last night I stayed up much too late reading. This was a big mistake, as I'm going to be really really tired today. And I have meetings in which I'll need to think and speak coherently.
4) Did I mention Monday is my busiest day at work? Ugh.
5) Henry is just waking up so I have to get him. He slept all the way through from 7:30 until just now, 6:15ish. He usually just hangs out in his crib and sings songs for a while when he wakes up in the morning.
6) I took the kids out on Saturday morning while Chris played golf. The highlight was the automated ride outside Babies R Us.
7) I've been getting some calls from people looking for private speech therapy. A year ago I would have been thrilled, but I just don't have the time right now. On the other hand, it would be smart to fit in one or two private clients so word of mouth can spread. On the other hand, (A third hand? Back to the first hand?) I should start reducing rather than taking on more work.
8) We found an inchworm on a walk the other day, and Sweetie Girl has been finding them ever since. Yesterday she was particularly taken with one, and the inchworm spent the afternoon in her hand and in a little dish she prepared with "food"- sand, grass, and clover. We finally made a jar into a house for it.
9) Speaking of Number 1, Chris and I were looking at trim and molding at Home Depot yesterday and talking about all the styles. We started talking about how we need to research Georgian Colonials more so we can make sure our renovations fit the style of the house. Our house isn't old, but has an old house feel and we want the changes we make to be more or less historically fitting. So I started researching and it's really interesting. There are so many details that make houses into the styles that they are.
10) Okay, time to get Henry. I leave for work at 7:00 on Mondays. It's kind of rough sometimes. Gotta get Henry fed, Chris and Celia up, fix Pita's hair and leave in the next half hour.

I can't wait to see how the dining room turns out. I have to ask, and I hope this is appropriate, but who is Pita?
ReplyDeleteMaybe private practice is the way to simplify?? ;-)
ReplyDeleteI hate when I miss sleep - you can never make it up. Dr. Oz said so. (ha!)
You are so thorough and organized - even at renovating your house!!
