1) We had an exciting day on Saturday, all right. Henry hit his face on a cement floor, scratched and bruised it, and we took him to the ER just to be certain he was okay. I was afraid he had really hit his head hard. I panicked when he first fell, and then by the time we got the the hospital it was obvious he was perfectly fine. Oh well.
Celia was very well-behaved while we waited in the hospital. She started getting antsy and doing "tricks" at the end.
Henry's already looking much better. Not even much of a bump. He mostly just has some scrapes on his forehead and cheek.
2) Speaking of my curly girl, I love this picture. I only wish I'd taken it with something other than my phone for better quality.
3) Yesterday we went to an indoor playground that we've been to a few times. I took the kids there a couple weeks ago too, on a day when it was too hot to play outside. Now that Henry is old enough to sit and play there too, it's great for both kids. Celia can run, jump in the bouncy house, climb around, and play with novel toys. Henry likes seeing new toys too, and likes to just look around and be in a new environment. I like that I can sit and relax a bit while they play, they're well entertained which makes us all happy, and that the mess of toys is there and not in my living room. Well worth ten dollars.
4) Henry is doing more new things. He's now 8 1/2 months. Since his 8 month post, he has started babbling a lot more and making all kinds of consonant sounds. He takes turns "talking" to have a conversation. He waves hello and goodbye. He can push himself backwards into a sitting position from all fours. He scoots around a little in a seated position, and has started pulling up on things. He moves in every way and every direction except for crawling forward! He tries constantly but always gives up almost right away and just sits back up again. He also has his first tooth- bottom left.
5) I made a pie yesterday. First time making a lattice-like crust. It was actually easy, and amazing how much less of a crust you use that way. Definitely saved some calories! Not that I need to save calories given that I'm at that point I get to while breastfeeding where I seem to be wasting away...
6) Yesterday Celia brought two of her bricks in the kitchen, sat on them, and told me she was Humpty Dumpty. She is so creative with those bricks.
I'm writing this Sunday night so I actually have time to get it done. Time to have a snack and get to bed.

Oh no---bless your poor son's heart! I'm sure that was scary. So glad he's okay.
