Here are answers to the rest of your questions!
How many children do you want? I think we might be done at two, but I guess it's possible we'll change our minds. We always wanted more than two kids, and if we had met and married younger we'd probably be more likely to have more. As it is, we may have another but we may just concentrate on Celia and Henry. I think we're both kind of looking forward to moving to the next stage of having older kids, doing new things with them, seeing them play together, being able to get out more and take trips, etc. On a more practical level, we would also have more financial wiggle room with fewer kids, and Chris and I are both looking forward to getting back to our own hobbies and interests one day.
What is your biggest fear? Something happening to Chris or one of the kids.
If you had a free vacation anywhere where would you go? That's a tough one. I would probably want to take a long trip and see several cities in both Eastern and Western Europe. On the other hand, going somewhere with warm, beautiful weather would be nice too.
How did you meet your hubs? I wrote about it in this post, quite a while back. It's a good story and I'm a lucky girl :)
What do you wear on a stay at home day - presentable clothes or comfy stuff? Both. I don't like wearing ratty old things all day because that makes me feel like a slob. I usually wear jeans or other casual pants, and a basic shirt. Nice enough that I could go out in them, but stuff I can move and get dirty in. At home I usually wear an old fleece on top to keep warm, so I might change out of that and wear a sweater if I go out. Sometimes I change into my pajamas really early in the evening, like around dinner time, to get really comfortable. I like to be already in my pajamas when the kids go to bed, so I can immediately sit and relax :)
What kind of car do you drive? Aha! Another reason not to have more kids- I've run out of space in my car! I've had a Honda CR-V for about seven years. It's been a great car. It's comfortable, reliable, and a good size. Big enough that I don't feel dwarfed by the enormous SUVs on the road, small enough that it handles and parks like a regular old sedan. It also has plenty of room in the back for storage. I don't really want a bigger car, but there are times when it would be nice. We could, for example, fit our family plus a set of grandparents or a friend in one car if I had something bigger.
Any vacations planned for the summer? No. I'm sure we'll take some weekend trips to visit family, and I guess it's possible Chris and I might be able to get away for a night if Henry's sleeping well by then.
Will you return back to work or become a sahm? The million dollar question. I have no idea. Ideally, I would go back to work part time at the preschool job I loved and was transferred away from in the fall. I will try for that, but have no idea if they will put me back there. If that doesn't work out, I'm not sure what I'll do. It's hard to accept that I might have to find a new job, because the one I had was the one I loved and I thought I'd spend my whole career there. I loved the part time schedule because it was something I enjoyed, and allowed us to have a good chunk of income from me while still giving me plenty of time at home with the kids. If I'm not able to return to the preschool I will either stay home, start a business from home, or look for part time work elsewhere. I guess we'll have to figure it out as it happens.
Do you want to run another marathon? Do I ever! I cannot wait to get back into running. Between winter weather, having a newborn and 3-year-old who require all of my attention, and a foot injury that's either a pinched nerve or a cyst (have to get in to see Dr. Dreamboat soon...) I haven't been running at all. I don't know when I'll get back to marathoning, but when our kids are older and when they're grown I see myself running marathons on a regular basis and it would be really fun to run races all over so Chris and I could get in some travel along with my races.
Do you have a signature fragrance? No. I used to love a BCBGirls perfume and wore it all the time, but it was discontinued. I never found another one I liked as much. On the other hand, perfumes are full of bad chemicals- carcinogens, endocrine disrupters, etc. So I haven't looked too hard for anything. If I wore perfume it would only be for special occasions since I don't want my kids or myself exposed to those chemicals. I do love good smelling things, though.
Thanks for playing along, friends! I always love when people do these posts. It was fun to answer your questions.
I'm the exact same way, regarding changing into PJs early in the evening. Normally around 4pm before I have to get started with Nolan's bedtime routine. :)
ReplyDeleteI am the same on the pjs, too!
