1) I'm at 35 weeks today. Last Thursday I had a midwife appointment. I had only gained a pound in three weeks, so luckily the weight gain has slowed down. I'm running out of clothes that fit. I also asked about the contractions I've been having, since I sometimes have several in a stretch and they're pretty crampy. I'm supposed to call if I have six in an hour now...which has since happened a couple times but I didn't call. I'm a bad patient. I just don't think I'm actually going into labor, and driving 45 minutes to have them monitor me when I already know what's happening seems like a waste. So now I'm under orders from my husband to call the midwife this morning and confess, and see what she says... Work is definitely the culprit more than anything, because the contractions are the worst on work days.
2) Part of our road is being repaved this week, and I told Celia we would get to see some construction trucks. She's very excited and keeps asking me when the "buhstruction" is starting.
3) Celia is a little obsessed with going to school. She found out that preschool starts at age 3, and now she's pretty set on going. She talks about it every day.
4) The cabinet doors and hardware in our master bathroom look like an owl to me. Every time I sit on the toilet, I have that owl for company. See those owl eyes?
5) We're making progress in the new guy's room. It's not completely done yet, but getting there.
6) This weekend I also made a final list of baby-related things to get done. They're just the final things now, like packing a hospital bag and getting out the car seat and other gear.
7) Outfit of the Week:

You are so cute...and just all baby! The little guys rooms is coming along nice. I love the ABC letters on the wall. Don't you love when kids have their own way of saying things...makes me not want to correct them :) I had to laugh at the cabinet knobs...they do look like eyes...lol.
ReplyDeleteYou look great! Love the boy's room! The letter cards are adorable! And no worries it was my blog you got the recipe from ;) so glad they turned out good with whole wheat.
ReplyDeleteThe nursery is looking super cute! And, ys - there is an Owl!! LOL ;)
ReplyDeleteYou look adorable! Really, you do! That's so neat that your daughter is so excited to begin school!
ReplyDeleteI would guess you are right about work being most of the culprit. Stupid! You will be done and snuggling baby boy soon though, right? His room looks great. And yes, those are owl eyes.
ReplyDeleteYour "owl eyes" - hahahahaha!
ReplyDeleteCelia's outfits never disappoint. This week's is awesome!
I love the alphabet wall. Too cute!
Celia is adorable, and you look great! Totally don't blame you for not calling until you're sure it's really go-time!
