2) Speaking of doing things to the house, I got out my colored pencils yesterday and started a plan to revamp our boring bedroom.
3) I have gotten started on Celia's Halloween costume. She's really into pretending to be Thumbelina right now. Almost every day she comes up with a new idea for a Halloween costume, but I finally talked her into being Thumbelina and ordered a little leotard and skirt to be the base for the costume. It was hard to come up with something I could put together easily enough. Celia kept thinking of costumes that I have no idea how to make. For a while she wanted to be an alligator. Good thing we got off of that one because my craft skills are not up to that level!
4) I got some fabrics for the baby's room over the weekend. It's going to be such a fun, colorful room!

| Annoying that this is out of focus... Don't know how I missed that. |
6) The joys of home ownership in the country never cease. For a couple days I thought I smelled a dead animal near our front door, but every time I looked around I couldn't find anything. On Saturday night Chris finally discovered the mostly eaten, maggot-covered remains of a mouse near the front steps (probably brought as a present by China and moved onto the walkway when we didn't end up finding it). So our fun Saturday night activity was cleaning up that mess (which was possibly the most disgusting thing either of us had ever seen or smelled).
7) Celia's very favorite thing is having us tell her stories. The other night Chris started telling her a story about a new character: a witch. It started off nicely enough and Pita was so happy to be hearing a story.
But soon the story took a turn for the worse, as the witch was a mean, evil witch. Celia was horrified! The look on her face was hilarious. I think she was just surprised to hear a scary story.
Now she makes sure to specify that she wants a "friendly witch" story every time :)

I'm impressed! You've got is so together. I really like the fabrics you picked out. Can't wait to see the finished product.
ReplyDeleteIt's great you were able to capture that look on Celia's face. Too funny.
I love #5! I remember those days well. People also just feel like it is a-ok to reach out and touch you! I always wanted to return the favor and reach over and grab their belly!
ReplyDelete32 weeks!!! I know that time is not flying for you but it seems like you just announced your pregnancy :) Ooh, I need to start working on Halloween costumes. Can't wait to see what you come up with for Celia. I love that fabric...out of focus & all. I love the vibrant colors and the patterns.
