Today's run was my last before the marathon! I still want to do some stretching tonight. My run today was an easy 3 miles, and I took an old familiar route that reminded me of how far I've come since I started training. That route used to be a bit of a challenge for me.
Packing for the weekend is a bit of a job, and I'm feeling scattered. I always end up making a list, but then thinking of something else to pack and writing it down in a random place. Between packing my own things and Celia's, it's a lot. Currently there are three lists I'm trying to work from. Most of the things I'm packing aren't all that exciting, but I thought I'd share what's in my running bag for the big day.
- Mocha flavored gels (the only kind I can stomach, and they're actually delicious! Clif brand)
- Amphipod waist pack (for gels)
- Handheld water bottle (I may or may not use it)
- A straw, cut short (for easy fluid intake at water stations)
- Shorts, singlet, socks, hat, gloves, arm warmers
- Prostretch
- Compression socks
- Extra safety pins
- Gary Garmin
I still have a lot left to do, so it's time to run. No pun intended.
Almost the same list I had! Except the straw and compression socks!
