a random, untitled post

There isn't much going on so I couldn't come up with a good title for this post. So I'm calling it "untitled", which really is a title after all, isn't it? It's interesting when artists or musicians title a piece of work "untitled". Because that's actually a title: "untitled". If you're going to call something "untitled", why not come up with a completely random name for it instead? Like "boggle", or "chartreuse"? Does anyone really know exactly what chartreuse looks like, anyway? So that's it. I'm renaming this post "boondoggle".

And now you've had an inside peek of how my mind works itself into never ending circles, like an animal chasing its tail. Anyway...

Chris decided at the last minute to take today off and take Celia to visit his mom. So, when I got home I had plenty of time for a rare after-work run. I wanted to get six or seven miles in, but late afternoon isn't the most high energy time for me. I ended up with five miles at a decent pace, and called it a day.

Now I have the luxury of time to take a shower and cook dinner in peace before Chris and Pita get home. Speaking of food, I did a whole lot of cooking yesterday and made some good stuff. First up was a batch of mu shu vegetable filling to use in lunch time wraps all week. Then I made and froze
this chickpea hot pot recipe, and finally these strawberry oat squares. Those were really good and I highly recommend them. I made them hoping that Celia would eat them, and she loved them. Next time I would use a little less sugar to make them healthier. I used frozen strawberries instead of fresh, and they were nice and sweet on their own.

Time to get moving on that shower! I'll leave you with a few pictures of my pretty girl. Never mind that she looks a bit annoyed in one of them. We're happy as clams around here, I swear. :D

  3. She does have the best expressions! Like "Mom! enough pics already!" Cute! Now, I agree, great job on the miles in the late afternoon. Killer time for me.
