fall treats

Yesterday I said that I'd be running outdoors today no matter what. That's because I thought it was only supposed to be in the 80s today. So when I got home this afternoon and saw that it was 95 degrees in the shade, I knew I'd be taking my workout indoors. Again. I hope this is the last of the really hot weather, because now that I'm back at work I can't run at the coolest times of the day. I'm itching to run and get nervous when I have to skip this many runs in a row. Hopefully I'll at least be nice and fresh for Saturday's 20-miler this way.

Since, despite the weather, it is September now, I've started thinking about some of my favorite fall things. You know, apples and pumpkins, wearing sweatshirts in nice cool weather- that sort of thing. Today it's been two things in particular. First: coffee. I love regular coffee, but all year long I wait for Green Mountain Coffee's pumpkin spice coffee to come out. It is the absolute best! Last year I ran out way too soon, and then the coffee was no longer available. This year I may go a big overboard and stock up on a lot of this stuff! I love, love, love driving in to work on a chilly morning with pumpkin spice coffee in my travel mug. Oh gosh it's great!

I also realized that fall TV is only a few weeks away. I don't watch much television, but really look forward to the few shows I watch. So, I can't wait for these.

There really is a lot to look forward to at this time of year, despite the return to work and a busier schedule.
