It's time again to dump all kinds of random thoughts from my brain into yours!
1. Our neighbor across the street is always wearing pajamas. She spends the entire day in them, and no matter what time of day it is she walks her dog wearing pajamas and bedhead. How can she spend every single day like that, all day long? Does she ever get dressed and actually do something?
2. Speaking of pajamas, Celia has entered that stage at which kids are brutally honest. She loves people watching and stating her observations whenever we're out. Unfortunately her observations may not be socially appropriate. Like when she recently pointed at a woman in a parking lot and shouted "Man! Man!" Or when at the grocery store she commented on a woman's clothing and declared them pajamas. There really isn't any way to explain to a one-year-old that while that woman's outfit did indeed look like pajamas, it may not have been polite to let her know.
3. Lately I've been having coordination issues when I drink while running. Sometimes the liquid ends up coming out my nose instead of being swallowed. Weird. I should see a speech pathologist for this.
4. Since my 17 mile run I've been hungrier than usual and am tired of it. Apparently that run burned something like 1400 calories. Eating isn't really that fun anymore when you have to do it all the time. It just feels like a chore, and I sit around putting it off because I'm so tired of constantly having to find something to eat.
5. As I type, I'm eating a massive bowl of fruit, yogurt, granola and ground flax seed. Seriously guys, it doesn't even taste good because I'm so tired of eating all the time! Chris laughed at me last night when he caught me literally stuffing my face with cereal.
6. Now you know what you need to do if you want to be able to eat whatever you want. Run at least 40 miles per week. Make sure one run is at least three hours long. No biggie.
7. Celia has peed in the potty every time she's been on it since yesterday! Yesterday she even stayed dry during her nap, and then used the potty when she woke up. Not sure I'm ready for potty training, but we're starting to wonder if she's going to train herself whether we like it or not.
8. Celia was up from 11:00 pm to at least 1:00 am last night. Brutal. Chris and I were both up trying to get her back to bed. I'm trying to look on the bright side and consider it practice for when we have a newborn again...
I wish I could spend an entire day in my jammies. I would go to the store with the jammie pants on and a t-shirt if I had cute little ones like they make for our teens!
ReplyDeleteI love when the kiddos start talking a lot. You just never know what they are going to say and to who.
Your brother's artwork is beautiful!
