what a doll

One of the new things Celia's into lately is playing with dolls. I have been looking forward to this, but I had no idea she would be interested in them this soon. Last week I took out a doll we've been saving for her, just to see what she would do with it. Turns out she's completely smitten! She calls it "baby". Celia loves to carry her baby around the house, sit her in chairs, put her to sleep, feed her, and change her clothes and her diaper (she of course needs help with changing the clothes). Pita's old preemie clothes fit perfectly on the doll, so I got out one of her suits to use. I'm amazed at the quality of her pretend play at such a young age. I think it's time to get her some doll accessories so she can do more!

Reading a book to her baby. This only lasted a few seconds because Pita got frustrated trying to hold the baby and the book at the same time.

She is at a really fun age right now, and every day she does new things that amaze us. We're really enjoying this stage, but I won't miss it too much because then we'll be moving on to something even more fun.
