recap

We've had a busy few days so I'll use this post to recap. Also, I'll randomly determine a winner for the giveaway tomorrow evening, so enter soon!

Celia and I had a great day on Friday. She had two good naps and was happy all day. In the morning we went to a running store and I got new shoes. Every time I tried on a pair, I would go outside to run up and down the sidewalk. Celia loved it. When she saw me putting shoes on she would head for the door to run with me! Later that day we went to the library and stopped at the park to have her snack and play for a while. It was such a beautiful day. I even got a 30 Day Shred workout in during one of her naps, and ran a quick mile with Celia in the BOB to try out my new shoes. Celia also has a new method for trying to get outside to play. She knows that she needs shoes, a jacket, and a hat to go out so whenever she wants to play outside she asks for all three. Friday morning she was still in her pajamas, hoping to get outside with her hat on.

So I told her "No, Monkey, you need to get dressed before we can go outside."

Upon inspecting her clothes, Pita thought "Well this seems unnecessary".

"How 'bout we just get my shoes on and go play?"

I wonder if she would have tried putting her jacket on over the diaper if I gave her a chance.

On Saturday we drove up to New Hampshire to visit my parents. Celia had a fabulous time. I purposely left my laptop at home and had a computer free weekend. That was great, and I started a new book. We also saw some other relatives: my brother and his girlfriend, my aunt and uncle, and my Grammie. Celia was a little overwhelmed by the new environment and people, and didn't really want to interact with anyone. Of course, as soon as we got home and I showed her pictures of everyone she named them all and wanted to talk about them!

On Sunday morning I went for a run, and Mom and I went to a nursery to get some flowers and herbs for my garden this year. I'm very excited to get everything planted once the weather stays warm. We headed home and Celia was exhausted. She also felt a little warm, but I didn't worry about it much. She slept a record 11 1/2-12 hours overnight.

Today I went to work, and when I picked Pita up from daycare she was very tired and out of sorts. She also felt warm again so I took her temperature, and she had a low fever. I could tell she wasn't feeling well, and she just wanted to have her binkie and for me to hold her. We started dinner and then sat on the couch together watching Sesame Street until Chris got home. I also experimented with taking our picture. Poor Pita was completely zonked.

We had dinner, Skyped with Chris's sister (which kept Celia well entertained), and got Celia went to bed. I'm thinking a trip to the doctor is in order tomorrow. I'm now guessing Celia's been sick since yesterday, and she also hasn't had an appetite.

Hope everyone had a good weekend.
