cozy day

We're still in the middle of a storm with lots of rain and wind. It's the perfect kind of Sunday to stay inside, read a book, snuggle with a baby, and put a big pot of spaghetti sauce on the stove to simmer. We did all that and more today. Chris spent some time doing homework and other miscellaneous things while I played with Celia. I worked out on the elliptical, cleaned, prepped dinner and made our lunches for tomorrow while Pita napped (whew!). We did get out of the house for lunch at a local cafe. It ended up being really fun. Celia gave quite a performance, pretending to eat and stir on the table with her spoon, saying "hi" to everyone around us and "bye" whenever anyone left, offering her food to people at nearby tables, and just generally being an incredibly well-behaved model baby. This is not how it always goes, but today she did great. It was also a small place where everyone is really friendly and willing to stop and say hi to a baby, which always helps.

It's funny to see her in the restaurant high chairs because she's still so tiny, yet she sits there eating table food and talking up a storm like a little toddler :). Celia's still having her afternoon nap now and Chris and I are relaxing in the living room. We never get to do this during the day- so nice! I'm sure now that I've written that we'll hear Celia wake up any second- haha.

Hope everyone had a good weekend!
